Spreading the News (Post #5)

Once we had a confirmed pregnancy, we began to let other family members know little by little.  The reactions we get are pretty standard awesome.

Us: “We’re pregnant!”
Them: “Oh my gosh, we’re so happy for you!  Congratulations!”
Us: “… with twins!!”
Them: *shocked*

My sister-in-law, Amanda, didn’t believe us.  She wanted proof, so we sent her a picture of the sonogram.  She believes us now. :)

Joey (Henry’s childhood best friend) just kept saying “Dude, no way!”

Henry’s Uncle Mario repeated “What the hell!” over and over.

My Uncle Jarvy’s eyes just about popped out of his head, and his daughter Kristen’s jaw hit the floor, simultaneously.

My Aunt Lilly/Comadre screamed and apparently ran across her front lawn in excitement.

We haven’t captured everybody’s reactions, but we did manage to get my Grandma Connie on video…

That’s my Aunt Lydia in the background saying, “What do you mean ‘how many!?’”.  Ha!  The whole concept of twins seemed to amaze my grandma.  She’s raised a lot of kids, but never two at a time.  She kept saying “What are we going to do?”, before coming to the conclusion that God will give us all the tools we need to raise two healthy babies.  Indeed He will grandma, indeed He will.
